Praxair, Inc. is developing a patented “Oxy-coal” process, very similar to IGCC. Relying on the company’s extensive experience with commercial gases, Oxy-coal technology uses pure oxygen instead of air in the coal combustion process. Ambre Energy
Ambre Energy claims it can recover synthetic crude oil and natural gas from coal using its Hybrid Energy System technology. The process also produces electricity, as well as useful products such as hydrogen, ammonia, and sulfur. To learn more about this technology, click here.
Hydrogen Energy
